Solar outdoor light
So, you have already decided to use solar outdoor lights
instead of electricity-run lights. Of course, the decisions do not stop
here. Now you must decide which type of solar outdoor lights to get.
Here are some examples:
Solar garden lights
Solar path lighting – oftentimes, these solar outdoor lights
need only be staked into the ground, along a path, and they ready to
go. The solar cell is right on top of the light.
Deck and post solar garden lights – these are wireless and attach
simply to a post on your fence, deck, or elsewhere. Consider getting
one that directs the light downward. Use them to light up a patio or
deck, etc.
Hanging solar lights – these most often have a classic look: a
curved stake, staked into the ground and a lantern-like solar outdoor
garden light hanging from it. Although these can also be hung elsewhere,
realize that if they are hung from a tree or another shaded area, they
likely will not get enough sunlight to power them for very long.
Sets – consider buying your lights in sets of 2 or 4. Just one
solar outdoor light is rarely enough – you are most likely going
to want multiple lights to light up your garden, plants, patio, or path.
These are great gardening supplies
to have.
Solar flood lights – use these to light up your house number
or driveway. Be sure to get ones that will run for the entire night.
Solar security lights– many solar flood lights can be used as
security lights. Of course, many solar security lights are motion lights.
It is a good idea to have solar security light with very powerful solar
cells and batteries – you do not want to be without your security
light, just because you had a few cloudy days in a row!
You will find that there are many applications for solar outdoor lights,
and there are many places to put them. They are especially great for
remote locations – they require no wiring and are easy to install.
