Solar garden lights
Solar garden lights provide free electricity. Free electricity?!
It may sound too good to be true, but it is. Yes, you do need to pay
an initial fee – you need to pay for the light fixtures themselves,
but there are very few fees associated with solar garden lights after
the initial fee.
Solar garden lights are very easy to install – you do not need
to connect them to any wiring. They require very little maintenance
since they have no moving parts. How do they work? Solar garden lights
have solar cells that convert sunlight into electricity.
The electricity is stored in batteries until it is needed. In this
way, solar garden lights can gather electricity during the day for use
at night. Some can even store enough energy that they can still light
up the night, even if the daytime has been masked with clouds for a
few days.
And when you use solar garden lights with dawn/dusk detectors, you
never have to worry about them – they even turn on and off by
themselves when it gets light and dark, respectively.
Of course, to ensure that your solar garden lights work as well as
they possible can, install them where they will get enough light. They
should not be in the shade. Also keep in mind that different geographic
locations receive different amounts of sunlight.
When shopping for your lights, realize that while some are self-contained
units and merely need to be staked into the ground or attached to the
house, etc., others work as units attached to a solar cell panel. This
short article has been referring to the former type.
